Puffling Play Party Specialists are independent contractors (1099) who partner with us to deliver joyful, beautifully styled play experiences for children and families. You choose which party requests you accept and when you want to work. If you love kids, value flexibility, and take pride in creating memorable moments, this may be a great fit.
Getting Started

Submit an application so we can learn more about you and your interest in supporting Puffling Play events. You'll share basic information, availability, and where you're located. We value diversity and welcome applicants from all walks of life.

A member of the Puffling Play team will reach out to touch base with you via Zoom video call. This conversation is an opportunity to review availability, walk through expectations, and confirm Puffling Play is a good mutual fit. You'll also be invited to observe a Puffling Play event before moving forward.

Once we’ve confirmed together that it’s a great mutual fit and you’ve completed a shadow experience, you’ll move into final setup. This includes a background check, hands-on equipment training, and signing your Party Specialist agreement. From there, you’ll be ready to accept party requests that align with your availability and preferences to bring thoughtfully designed play experiences to families in your community.

Party Specialists are independent contractors (1099) who support Puffling Play events by handling the pickup, delivery, setup, breakdown, and return of play equipment. This role focuses on logistics and presentation, not hosting, supervising, or entertaining children.

The process includes submitting an application, connecting with the Puffling Play team, and shadowing a Puffling Play event to see setup and teardown in action before moving forward. Shadowing is part of the mutual evaluation process, occurs before signing a contractor agreement and is unpaid.

Party Specialists are compensated between $50 and $125 per party setup, depending on the size. In addition, there is a delivery payment that varies by location and starts at $40 with some areas (like Northern Virginia) starting at $65.

To partner with Puffling Play, Party Specialists must:
Be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license
Have reliable transportation capable of transporting equipment
Be able to lift, carry, and set up event equipment up to 40 lbs.
Pass a background check
Be dependable, detail oriented, and professional with families
Be comfortable problem solving on site as event details may occasionally change or require real time adjustments
